This, I suppose, is the definition of art. It is an act of digging around in the minutiae
of existence to find profound meaning in the simplest things. To be eternally curious. To play.
Then to translate that fascination, curiosity, and play into something tangible to share with others.

Images

Kristie Cornell Through the Viewfinder TTV BiographyThe square format images with black borders that you see scattered throughout the galleries
are taken with a Nikon D80 digital SLR, “through the viewfinder” of an Argus 75 medium format
camera, as seen in the self portrait on the left. The through the viewfinder method gives
the image its square format and dirty, distorted look.

Inkjet Transfer Printing Process Photography Printmaking

My prints are inkjet transfers of original photographs. The original photograph was taken with a Nikon D80 digital SLR, printed
piece by piece with an Epson Stylus Photo 1280 inkjet printer, and painstakingly transferred onto a single sheet of mulberry paper.
The print is mounted on canvas stretcher bars, shellacked, and ready to hang. Although the original photograph can be transferred
an unlimited number of times, the process ensures that each transfer results in a one of a kind, completely hand-made print.

These prints can be made in various sizes, and can be hung framed or unframed. All prints are custom made.
